Optimum Panel Connections, Well-Ordered Join Pattern
In a construction time of only six months, the operators (Fellhornbahn GmbH) succeeded in replacing two ski tow facilities with a six-person chair lift known as the “See-Eck-Bahn”. This means that winter sports visitors to the Fellhorn now have a comfortable means of transport up the mountain. Protection through the foldable canopy and cushioned seats ensure that holidaymakers remain in good spirits in all weathers.
Apart from the logistical problems due to the mountainous location, the contractor, wellexperienced in this kind of project, also found a solution for the delays in the schedule resulting from difficult pile foundations – something which had not been planned – by using optimised formwork systems: TRIO for the walls and MULTIFLEX girder slab formwork on pre-assembled MULTIPROP towers for the slab helped to realise the shell of the building on time and to allow the cable railway to start on time for the beginning of the winter season.
