Suspended mobile scaffold with four working levels
The Prague Metro constructed a 850 m long tunnel to reduce the noise levels for people living near the line. On completion of the concrete works sound absorbing cladding was fitted at the side walls and extended up to act as a parapet to the overhead walkway.
The scaffold had to be suspended from above and drop a distance of 7.00 m to provide access for fixing the cladding and at times be adapted to overcome the varying ground conditions. PERI Engineers in the Jesenice Czech subsidiary produced a scheme which convinced the MetroStar.
PERI UP Rosett was selected for the suspended scaffold as it offered flexibility in the positioning of the four working platforms. The one bay wide mobile suspended scaffold, at its maximum, was 12.00 m high. Despite being only one bay wide and 12.00 m high the scaffolds overall stability enabled one man to move the structure and all tasks to be completed successfully.
All facade works were completed within 2 ½ months.
