The construction of 28 piers was necessary to support the new elevated dual carriageway from Canning Town to the existing duelled A 13 beyond Becton. Main contractor RMG (A13) Construction joint venture, chose PERI systems because of the advantages in using its ‘ready-for-use'' service. On delivery to site the shutters were immediately ready for use thus eliminating costly on-site fabrication and storage problems. PERI''s adaptable SRU Waler system proved its efficiency in easy adjustment of the varying heights with a minimum of on-site work. An economical solution which resulted in a reduction of labour costs!
