Efficient complete solution with competent service
The ADAC – Europe´s largest motoring organisation – has a new headquarters in Munich. The impressive building complex consists of a five-storey, undulating curved base construction with a large courtyard. Above this is an office tower with 18 floors and rounded corners.
For all walls, the TRIO panel formwork was very versatile in its use: with heights of up to 14 m, with double formlining for architectural concrete requirements, with SB brace frames for single-sided forming as well as together with the TRIO TSE shaft element for fast and easy moving of the complete shaft internal formwork. In addition, with the BFD alignment coupler, TRIO could be connected with the RUNDFLEX circular formwork without any problems.
The floor slabs of the base construction were formed with modular and customised tables as well as the MULTIFLEX girder slab formwork. The standard table modules could be used for forming the 1.23 m thick reinforced concrete slab in the basement, strengthened by additional VT 20 formwork girders and PEP steel tube slab props.
For the tower, SKYDECK panel slab formwork was used – with protection always being provided by the RCS climbing protection panel which securely and reliably enclosed the topmost three floors. MULTIPROP aluminium slab props served as temporary support. Fewer props had to be installed due to the high load-bearing capacity and, combined with the low weight, led this to enormous savings in time. Below the wall sections, HD 200 heavy-duty props supplemented the supporting structure in order to carry linear loads of up to 400 kN/m into the bottom slab.
