Climbing formwork solution for short construction time
Three liquid gas circular tanks, each with a diameter of 80 m and 110,000 m³ capacity, were to be constructed at the same time. With VARIO GT 24 and CB climbing formwork units, the 28 m high and 80 cm thick external walls could be cost-effectively climbed in 4 m cycles. Friction-locked connections for the VARIO formwork was provided by GKZ articulated couplers and, due to the alternating internal and external reinforcement layout, was moved on carriages.
In concreting cycle heights of 4.00 m, the customized pre-assembled VARIO girder wall formwork and the CB climbing scaffold system were moved as climbing units with the crane which saved time and costs.
