2,310 m² of wall formwork climbs
hydraulically in a four-day cycle


The new Hongkong Shanghai Bank Corporation building lies in the London Docklands, in the East End of the city and numbers among the largest construction projects in England. More than 8,000 staff will be employed on 44 floors in future.

There was altogether 225,000 m³ of concrete to be poured for the 210 m high core tower of the office block in which there are 26 passenger lifts and 8 service lifts. The formwork was VARIO girder wall formwork climbing on ACS self-climbing scaffolding independent of the crane.
