Fast and accurate forming of circular tanks with RUNDFLEX Plus
The PERI RUNDFLEX Plus circular formwork, together with TRIO panel formwork and PERI UP reinforcement scaffolding units, provided the most cost-effective solution for the construction team. This meant the external wall sections could be shuttered, reinforced and concreted in four 25 m long casting segments. Adjustment of the circular formwork elements took place on site. This saved transportation costs and allowed the site crew to use the same set of formwork to construct the internal walls as well.
Due to the rigid waler system, no additional distribution walers are required with the RUNDFLEX Plus. This made the handling process easier and provided a wide adjustment range. Element assembly took place without bolts and pins as a hammer blow was suffi cient when extensions were added. The BFD alignment coupler from the TRIO product programme ensured fast and neat element connections and also bridged filler timber compensations up to 10 cm.
For the straight intermediate walls, horizontally-positioned TRIO 330 elements were used. With TRIO column elements, the twelve reinforced concrete columns could be quickly formed and concreted. At the same time, PERI UP reinforcement scaffolding units provided safe working platforms for handling the formwork, carrying out reinforcement work and concreting. These could be moved using guide rollers as well as in complete units with the crane.
