PERI was extremely satisfied with both the visitor response as well as the quality of the attendance at the recently-held bauma 2010. In spite of the smaller number of foreign participants due to the temporary flight ban over Europe, the PERI exhibition hall was well frequented throughout the whole week: more than 100,000 guests were counted. Altogether, over 415,000 visitors from more than 200 countries came to Munich for the bauma.

Visitors to the stand used the extensive exhibition of PERI products in order to take the opportunity to look at the systems in more detail and to experience their applications through numerous live demonstrations. New product developments in both the formwork and scaffolding areas generated a lot of interest. Presentations of proven systems also went down very well. With the wall formwork, for example, demonstrations of the one-sided anchoring procedure for the MAXIMO panel formwork as well as the cleverly devised striking and shuttering technology for the system´s shaft element proved to be a magnet for visitors.

For the first time, exhibition area also included presentations on a selection of PERI services for formwork and scaffolding. Engineers and experts from the individual specialist departments presented technical, logistic and commercial services with which PERI customers are supported ranging from the offer phase through to the project conclusion and beyond. The fair visitors showed great interest in finding out more about these services and the specialists themselves "behind the scenes". They used the time for detailed questions and discussions.

During the fair, PERI was able to chalk up yet another success: the GRIDFLEX slab formwork was awarded the EuroTest Prize 2010. The EuroTest Prize is awarded in honour of outstanding achievements by companies, organizations and individuals in the field of occupational safety and machine safety. The aluminium grid slab formwork “increases productivity but along with ensuring a significant increase of health and safety levels in the workplace”, according to the international committee when giving the reason for the award. This prize is proof once again of the fundamental ideas and primary concerns of PERI: to develop economical systems which ensure faster, more cost-effective and safer construction.
